Following the loss of her parents and husband to the war in Iraq and to illness, Hana Sadiq turned to making dresses as a means of survival. Now, the Iraqi designer has made her reputation by translating Arabic art and poetry into her clothing and jewelry designs. Her flowing Arabian-styled robes and dresses have even caught the eye of Jordan’s Queen Noor. Reporter Dale Gavlak met up with her in Amman, Jordan where Sadiq now works.
