The movie The Help has been hugely popular this summer – but it’s also stirred up controversy about race and class. In Kenya, another controversy about domestic servants and class is brewing. The majority of the Kenyan population has domestic servants, or house helps, as they're called there. These housekeepers earn as little as $25 a month; the well-paid ones earn $40.

Recently, the government has begun enforcing domestic worker laws that put this norm into jeopardy. Reporter Wairimu Gitahi brings us the story.
